Hello again!
As promised, I will show you what I did today:
For some time, my brake dust shields were rusted away.
The job is quite easy: remove the wheel, break free the big 36mm bolt holding the wheel bearing (it is best to do when your friend is pressing the brake and if you don't have friends Grin Grin you can just put a screwdriver in the brake rotor slot and let it hold against the brake caliper holder. Then remove the brakes, the 36mm nut and the bearing assembly. Be careful that you don't spill the bearing parts when handling it!
Next come the 3 dust shield screws. Mine were very rusty and stuck so the 6mm Allen head socket didn't work. I tried pliers too but in the end welded nuts on the old parts.
Note that when you weld/use a wire brush/ hammer etc near the bearing shaft it is wise to protect it with a rag or something similar.

After that install the new bolts ( They are DIN 912 M8x1,25 L=10mm).

It is also recommended to paint the dust shield before to maximize volvo coolness Cool Cool
